AMC1200: AMC1200 and control gain

Part Number: AMC1200

Hello All.

I have bought this amplifier but reading the datasheet there is something that I don't understand. Is posible to control de gain? I know that the max differential input is +-250mV and the output will be 5[V]-0 with a voltage reference of 2.5[V]. So, As the ampliffier is linear if the input is 125 mV so the output will be 3.75[V] - 1.25[V] with a voltage reference of 2.5[V]. It's correct?

  • Hi Julian,

The gain of the AMC1200 is fixed at 8 (see section 6.5 OUTPUT).  The output is a differential signal centered on a common mode voltage of 2.55 or 1.29 depending on the supply voltage.  Your +/-125 mV signal should give you +/-1V differential or signals that range from ~2.05 V to 3.05 V on each of the Vout pins.
