INA128: Request for INA128

Part Number: INA128

Dear TI,

The INA128 is used to construct a differential amplifier circuit to measure the voltage between cells
  1) INA128UA When the power supply voltage is ± 15V, please inquire whether the voltage of 15V or more can be output by differential in input
EX) + Input side: 20V, - Input side: If 15V is input, is it the part where 5V differential output can be checked?
  2) INA128IA Power Supply Voltage is between -5V ~ 24V Is the above inquiry part measurable?

  • Hi BJ,

You cannot input a voltage that extends past the supplies on either input as this will cause the internal input amplifier to saturate, which will give you an incorrect output.

If your supplies are +24V and -5V, then as long as you remain within the common-mode input range you will be able to measure the difference in the two voltages. The plot below demonstrates the input and output limitations of the INA128 in the given configuration.
