INA217: INA217 for ECM and moving coil microphone?

Part Number: INA217

Dear Sir:

We survey   pre-amplifier to support moving coil microphone and ECM , Then I have found INA217 for this kind of application. besides INA217 , Do I have better choice?

Best Regard

Jason

  • Hello Jason,

A moving coil microphone, also referred to as dynamic microphone is most often designed to have an output impedance in the 200 to 600-Ohm range. The INA217 is optimized for best near-theoretical noise performance for 200-Ω source impedance so it is well suited for moving coil microphones. The typical 1 kHz voltage noise is rated with a typical value of 1.3 nV/√Hz (Rs = 0 Ohms) which is very low. That would be hard to improve upon even with more complex op amp circuits using very low noise op amps.

The differential input, overall high performance, and ease of use make the INA217 make it a very good choice for the application.
