To get a high side current monitor to work with 120V AC will require very high common mode rejection ratios. The voltage across the sense resistor is quite low compared to the main AC voltage. It will be much easier to get a low side current sense implemented.

I am currently working on an automatic sun tracking system consisting of a 85 W solar panel, microcontroller, and stepper motor. I need to monitor the output power of the solar panel at regular intervals. I was wondering if the INA209 chip would satisfy my requirements, and if it did, how should I connect...

Current output current shunt monitors also can make good current sources. A differential measurement over a shunt resistor produces a corresponding current output that can be adjusted by adjusting the voltage drop over the shunt resistor. TI's INA138 would be a good example although this has a minimum...

    Martin Maurer67449 Martin Maurer67449
Hello, I'm using the INA213. In my application it's possible that Vcc=0V and on the analog input (IN+; IN-) pins are 5V. In the datasheet is written that the analog input (IN+; IN-) pin are able to handle up to +26V. There is no comment of Vcc. => The INA213 isn't destroyed if Vcc=0V and...

Hello. I am a graduate student in U of Michigan. Our research group has made photodetectors by ourselves. It has been very successful. Now, for the next step, we would like to see the current shape from our detector on a oscilloscope. So, we are looking for special amplifiers because the output current...

Hi, I am working with the INA219 and I am getting incorrect shunt voltage readings. They appear to be double what I would expect given my current load and what I measure across the resistor with a voltmeter. My test setup is as such: 2m Ohm shunt resistor, 100mA load, bus voltage of 11.5. This...

halo all, i am using the lmp8640, and Vcc=5, Vout to adc is 1.5V, sense resistor =3mili ohm; the problem with this high voltage current sense amplifier is too small, and only written AF6A, so i didnt which side is the 1st pin ? and the value of filter resistor and capacitor is...

Hello I need to make a current limiting device that senses current and depending on the value of it is controlling the duty cycle of a PWM signal. My though is to use a differential amplifier or an instrumentation to sense the voltage drop across the sense resistor. Then the output of the amplifier...

Hi: our current singal is from 8.7nA to 600uA ,and the singal frequecy is less than 20hZ ,the AD reference voltage is 1.2V, and the measurement accuracy is 0.5%. At first ,i selected the OPA2376 to amplify the singal becuase the offset voltage and bias current is very good for us .the circuit stucture...
