I have some questions about Input Voltage Drop on TL720M05-Q1.

This application is connecting 16 LDO Units in parallel like below;

(Power:  +17V)

(1) Power ON with connecting 16 LDO units, but input voltage fall to 3V and all of units don't work.

(2) Remove LDO unit one by one. When connecting 6 LDO Units, input voltage raise to 14V and output voltage reach to 5V.

(3) Add LDO unit one by one. Work correctly until 11 units connection. When connecting 12 unit, input voltage fall to 3V and all of units don't work.

* I checked the power supply, but there is no probrem without current limit.

Can you please advise me why unstable behavior happen? Is there any protection work? Is there any solution to solve this phenomenon?

Thanks in advance.

will it possible to put offset value in Register Bank and write to ZTC and PTAT register?

We were having a problem with I2C (though realistically, it probably affects the whole commBuff ISR, regardless of whether it's I2C or SPI). What we've narrowed it down to is a switch statement in the ISR.

We are sending 8 commands per second via I2C and after a while (it ranges from a few minutes to half an hour), the chip appears to lockup. However, on closer inspection, the chip itself is still running. However, it appears that some variables in the ADC ISR are being corrupted/changed, causing our CalcDAC routine to fail to run anymore. The basic code looks like this:

void commBuff_ISR (void) interrupt 6    using 3
{
        unsigned char commData;

EA = 0;    /* Added 04-23-13 */

        commData = COMBUF; /* Read Data from COMBUF */

        if((CommandState!=7)&&(CommandState!=8)&&(CommandState!=10)&&(CommandState!=11)&&(commData==0x24))
        {
                        CommandState = 0;
        }

        switch (CommandState)
        {
                case (0):
                        if (commData == 0x24) /* 0x24 = '$' */
                        {
                                CommandState +=1;
                        }

                        else if (commData == 0x62)      /* 0x62 = 'b' */
                        {
                                COMBUF = DigOut;
                        }
                        break;
                default:
                        break;
        }
EA = 1;    /* Added 04-23-13 */
}

This is just to display the functionality of the code (not the entirety of the code. We actually have 14 additional switch cases that are not shown here). What I found is that the switch statement seems to be causing some kind of issue that is causing corruption in the ADC ISR. If I change the switch statement to an if statement instead, it seems to fix the issue.

I posted about this in the keil forums (under the name of John Dough. I've had issues with the people in that forum in the past. At this point, I don't give them my name there anymore):

http://www.keil.com/forum/22943/

They seem to suggest it's related to the PGA400 itself rather than Keil (personally, I have a hard time believing that but I thought I would talk to you about it). Do you know anything about this or why it would cause issues between the ISRs?

Any help you can give me would be appreciated. Thanks!

To verify my model I am trying to reproduce the simple example in the training pdf that I found here in the forum which I have attached. I have not been able to do this, but I think that I do not fully understand how the integrator works. The transfer function listed in the spec sheet mentions that you use the peak voltage of the knock signal. Is this implying that the integrator has some sort of peak detection? Are there details that are left out of the spec sheet that are implied?

As I am failry confident that the compnesation is right, I looked at the current sense voltage to make sure we are not in cycle by cycle current protection mode. From the voltage graph I see the voltage exceeds 2V and the controller turns off for a short time and the cycle repeats. Can you please advise me on this? on how to get around this or what can cause this? Bearing in mind in a slightly lower power version of this converter there is no problem in loading the converter at all (the inout voltage range, output regulated voltage and switching frequency are exactly the same).

the setting of FET ON constantly for UCC27201-Q1

I would like to confirm how to set FET ON constantly with UCC27201-Q1.
