TPS65320 EN2 and FB2 current

Hi,

Wanting to use TPS65320 for the following purposes::

Buck converter supply for 1.2V for uP core, about 1A

LDO supply of standby voltage for uP RAM, max 2 mA over temp, about 4V.

After consulting datasheet and this forum I plan to connect as follows:

VIN to constant battery, KL30 ( with protective measures taken ).

EN2 to VIN to enable LDO.

VIN_LDO and EN1 to 5V supply from another voltage regulator that is switched on when ignition key is turned.

Have I got it right?

What is max current flow can I expect into EN2 when held at 12V ( over temp )?

What is the current on FB2? Or rather what is the maximum resistor values in the feedback net, +-10% error on the output voltage is OK.

Thanks,

Mats

       I think, it is right.
    > What is max current flow can I expect into EN2 when held at 12V ( over temp )?
      Typ : 400uA, Max : 900uA
    > What is the current on FB2?
      Max : 2uA ( Guess )
    > Or rather what is the maximum resistor values in the feedback net, +-10% error on the output voltage is OK.
Using smaller resistors results in higher current consumption, whereas using very large resistors impacts the
sensitivity of the regulator. TI therefore recommends selecting feedback resistors such that the sum is between
      20Kohm and 200Kohm.

  • Many thanks Toshimi!
