TPS7A6650-Q1 - Cout and Cin

Hi all,

Would you mind if we ask TPS7A6650-Q1?

Our customer uses TPS7A6650-Q1 as following condition;
－Vin(Input voltage) ： 6V±0.4V
－Vout(Output voltage) ： 5V±0.1V
－Iout(Current) ：100mA(max)

So, when our customer chooses the value of Cin and Cout, do you have any information of each vaule?

Matsumoto-san,

Thank your very much for promoting our LDO TPS7A6650-Q1.

For the output capacitor, you could choose a low ESR ceramic capacitor, which has the capacitance range from 2.2uF to 100uF and the ESR range from1m ohm to 2 ohm.

For the input capacitor, you could use a 22uF capacitor together with a 0.1uF capacitor to stabilize the input voltage and filter high frequency noise.

To simplify, you could also take our EVM as a reference design. EVM detailed information could be found here: http://www.ti.com/tool/tps7a6650evm

We would like to confirm.
The content which you mentioned "For the output capacitor, ～ ESR range from1m ohm to 2 ohm."

from 1m ohm to 2m ohm, right?

It is right that ESR range from1m ohm to 2 ohm. You could find it from datasheet Page 8 Figure 13, it is the stability range.

We'd like to confirm the accuracy of Vout.
It's ±2% at the worst case which includes temperature condition from -40 degree to 125 degree, right?

Yes, from the TPS7A6650-Q1 datasheet Page 13, you can find below information.

Test condition: VIN = 6 to 40V, IOUT = 1mA to 150 mA, and the temperature range from -40C to 125C.
