TPS65381-Q1 Functions not covered by BIST(ABIST and LBIST) 209

The coverage of LBIST is summarized in section 5.4.1.6 of the datasheet on page 38. The main purpose of the LBIST is to self test the logic. It has 95% stuck at fault grade coverage.

I have a meeting with customer this Friday and have to answer following question.

So please rise the priority of following question than another questions I posted to E2E, and answer as soon as possible.

Customer need information if each function is covered by LBIST or not.

Because they have to diagnose un-covered function from MCU.

Please fill the answer in each "Covered by LBIST Yes or No" cell in attached file.

Does “No” means that LBIST does not perform test for this function, or LBIST test this function but coverage is low?

You answered “It has 95% stuck at fault grade coverage.” but I need information of functions that is not covered by BIST and have to perform verification from MCU for that function in DIAGNOSTIC mode.

Hi Ushikubo-san,

Are you registered on SafeTI under NDA or have access to the FMEDA for this devce? It has more information useful to analyzing the device in your system for necessary coverage. I will also discuss with our systems engineer next week when he is back how best to address this topic.

Hi Ushikubo-san,

I have discussed with the systems engineer and we have updated the XLS to include the LBIST plus diagnostic function which is a much more accurate way to describe the safety coverage.  The most important part of the state machine is covered by LBIST.
