PGA450-Q1 EVM programming

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PGA450-Q1Hi Clancy,
I'm new ti PGA450-Q1. I got the PGA450EVM and need to get started to program PGA450-Q1 as well. Could you provide all information how to program this microcontroller and example source codes for 40kHz transducer please?

Best Regards
Jan
  • Jan,

If you provide an email address, we can send you the Programmer's Guide containing detailed register information.

To modify the source code made available through the FW installer, download the Keil C51 development tool for all 8051 devices, which includes the uVision IDE necessary to open and edit the project file. During development, build the “PGA450.uvproj” from the DEVRAM folder to generate the custom .HEX file that must be uploaded to the device's internal 8051 core. The attached “Demo write up for use with Firmware Rev 2.1_B.pdf” provides instructions on how to further evaluate the EVM (in addition to the User's Guide) and upload the .HEX file using the EVM GUI. Note: Keil products use a License Management system - without a current license the product runs as a Lite/Evaluation edition with a few Limitations.

When experimenting with different ultrasonic transducers frequencies, the primary changes are implemented in software (via register settings such as: center driving frequency and band-pass filter coefficients for center frequency and bandwidth). Due to these minor modifications, we don't offer an example for 40kHz specifically.

  • Hi Akeem,

thank you very much for your support! I've changed my settings, so you should be able to see my E-Mail adress now, to send the Programmers Guide to me.

    Kind Regards
