TPS65381 revisions

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS5703137

Hello,

I am a bit confused with the TPS65381 revisions.

I know that for TMS5703137CZWTQQ1, C after 3137 means revision C. So when we place an order we explicitly indicate that we need a certain revision.

But for TPS65381, all I know is TPS65381QDAPRQ1.

So, how do I explicitly indicate that we need revision C1 of TPS65381 when ordering?

Thanks,

Francis.

  • The engineers that normally support this device are out of the office this week. I might be able to help with this question though. When you refer to revision C1, are you referring to the datasheet revision? If a part is changed after it is released, they will use a new part number and/or send out advance notice to all customers. Do you need details of this procedure?
  • Hello Clancy,

With revision C1 I mean the revision of the TPS (the physical device). We have developed a product which uses TMS5703137 revision C and TPS65381 revision C1. The product we want manufacture is safety certified; we need to to be sure that correct revisions of both TMS and TPS are used.

We know that if we order TMS5703137CZWTQQ1, we will have revision C.

But for TPS, all we have is PS65381QDAPRQ1. If we order PS65381QDAPRQ1, will we receive revision C1? We need to be sure that it is revision C1.

Please let me know if you need a more detailed explanation.

    Best Regards,
    Francis.
  • Hi Francis,

The previous revisions were pre-production versions only for the TPS65381.  Once the device qualified and was releaed to production only revision C1 is realeased as the general orderable part number.  We do not produce multiple revisions of this device.  Using the ordering codes in the datasheet will get you the produciton version C1 of the device.

    Best Regards, Scott
