TLV62065-Q1 EN pin input voltage

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLV62065-Q1

Hi,

My customer has questions about TLV62065-Q1.
Could you tell me about questoins?

[Questions]
My customer has concern about EN input voltage.
In shutdown, EN input voltage is still high(3.3V) after VIN voltage is Low.
 It is only 200msec.
In this condition, EN input voltage is higher than EN Absolute Maximum Rating(VIN+0.3V).

 - Is there any shutdown sequence requirement between PVIN, AVIN and EN?
 - What is the meaning of EN Absolute Maximum Rating (VIN+0.3V)?

Best Regards,

  • Hello Yamashiro-san,

I've assigned this post to the appropriate applications engineer. He will respond to your question.

  • Hello Yamashiro-san,

Typically EN is expected to be equal to or below VIN voltage. In the worst case, if I understand the ABS max rating correctly,  EN voltage can be 0.3V more than VIN voltage. It is not acceptable if VIN=0V and VEN=3.3V as this is violation of ABS max rating.

There is no sequencing specified, but ABS max ratings have to be obeyed at any conditions. Also note that for this device, when EN is still high and VIN is already low, SW pin is is floating. When EN is low, SW pin is connected to PGND via internal resistor to actively discharge the output (this is the intended operation of the device)
