TPS70950-Q1 and TPS7A6950-Q1/TPS7A6950-Q1 Vo Accuracy

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS709-Q1

Hello,

Please advise if following my understand for Vo accuracy when Io=5mA and full temperature range is correct or not.

TPS70950-Q1:

Datasheet specifies Vo accuracy is +/-1% max at Io=1mA, and Load regulation is 50mV max while 100uA<Io<150mA. So worst case accuracy at Io=5mA is follows.

  Vo accuracy max = +1%

   Vo accuracy min = -1% -(50mV/5V) = -2%

TPS7A6950-Q1/TPS7A6950-Q1:

Datasheet specifies Vo accuracy is +/-2% at Io=1mA to 150mA.

So worst case accuracy at Io=5mA is +/-2%.

Please advise which LDO is better accuracy at Io=5mA.

Best Regards.

  • Hello,

    Please answer my question.

    Best Regards.
  • Hi Ushikubo,

For the LDO accuracy, it should take all conditions into condition, input voltage range, load conditions, and temperature range.
The line regulation and load regulation should also be already included.
For the LDO TPS7A6950-Q1, it's 2% output accuracy, with low line regulation and load regulation.
For the LDO TPS709-Q1, I would invite the proper application engineer responsible for this device help reply you.

BTW, would you please let me know customer's requirement? why does customer cares about the output accuracy a lot? what is the application for? Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Jason
  • Hi Ushikubo,

As Jason mentions, the DC output accuracy specification is a comprehensive specification. It takes into account input voltage range, load conditions, and temperature ranges.

    TPS709-Q1 is 1% for the 5V device.

    Very Respectfully,
    Ryan
