What means this word ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65381-Q1

I'm reading "TPS65381-Q1 Multi-Rail Power Supply for Microcontrollers in Safety Applications(Literature Number: SLVSBC4F)".

The following words mean in "DEVICE STATE" of "D3.13" of  "5-2.Internal Error Signals(continued)" ?;

EN_VDD3/5_OT = 0:

VDD3/5 disabled ->

VDD3/5 UV event->

RESET

I think state is VDD3/5 disabled : Not changed,

 VDD3/5 UV event : RESET. Right ?

  • Hi Arriy, please make sure to post to this automotive forum or you may not get answers on this device.

    EN_VDD35_OT bit will impact what happens to the device if there is an over temperature event detected on VDD3/5.

    The matrix below explains the different impact:

    When EN_VDD3/5_OT = 0 (customer programmable setting, ) and an OT event is detected VDD3/5 will be disabled (OFF) which causes (-->) VDD3/5 UV event to be detected which causes (-->) RESET state.

    When EN_VDD3/5_OT = 1 (default) and an OT event is detected VDD3/5 the device will transition to STANDBY state.

    Regards,
    Scott
