TLE2142-Q1 output surge

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLE2142-Q1, TLE2142

Hi team,

My customer has used TLE2142-Q1 and then they find that the output surge happens when the following conditions.

=> The 5V input is supplied firstly and 0.5V reference is supplied next. And finally Vcc is supplied.

When Vcc is supplied, the output surge happens as the attached.

If Vcc is supplied firstly and the rest inputs are supplied, there is no surge voltage.

So customer wants to know the reason why the surge voltage happens when Vcc is supplied finally.

I attached the file. After looking at it, could you please advis me?

Thanks,

WS

  • Hi WS,

I've notified the appropriate applications engineer, he will respond to your question.

  • WS, I believe this is what happens. Initially there are voltages at the inputs and the postive input is higher than the negative input due to 0.5V reference. Once the 12V supply voltage is applied, and V+ > V-, the output surges high and the negaive feedback takes sometime for settling the op amp in differential mode.

They can make sure but shorting R3 to GND. In this case V+ is lower than V-
