Low-Temp version of SM28VLT32-HT for design prep

I am planning a design around the new high temp flash chip that will be available soon (SM28VLT32-HT).

Does TI have a currently available chip with the same electrical characteristics that I can use to begin my design with?

Thank you for your time.

    Since the HT Flash device is a grounds up development, we do not have silicon yet to provide for samples.  The current schedule has samples shipping before the end of March 2012.

    Hi Mont;

    I am teaming with Cam on this design; I am wondering, is there an update to the release date for this memory?

    Thanks,

    Nick

    Hi Nick,

    Unfortunately, we have had some additional delays with getting the new die revision to fix some issues with the original silicon.  We have completed the changes and are getting wafers built, but the ceramic samples are likely now end of May.

    Regards,

    Mont Taylor

    Is there a low temp version or available footprints for the hi temp version?

    I would like to implement it into the board design.

    Thanks,

    Derek

    Hi Derek;

    I was asking the same question last year and I found out that this is a unique design that does not have a low-temp version, so all we can do now is wait for the samples.

    Regards,

    Nick

    Hello all,

    Just wondering if there is an update on the release date of this? If not, is there any chance of me getting my hands on datasheets, electrical charateristics, pinout, etc.?

    The only hit when I search the TI site for the SM28VLT32-HT is this forum thread.

    Thanks,

    Bruce.

    From what I understand this is a preliminary Data sheet for the SM28VLT32-HT.

    This is from July, the new release date is supposed to be in January 2013.

    Sorry folks.  For some reason I was not getting any notification that updates to this forum thread have been occurring.  I just happened to stumble across it.

    We are working on the release and I have an updated datasheet.

    There are some electrical updates being defined now from our test team, so a newer draft version should be available in the coming weeks.

    I will also have a draft power savings application note available in the next few weeks as well.
