Venugopalan, In-Charge of Power system Design for PiSAT ( Satellite being built by PES college of Engineering, Bangalore) I greatly appreciate if you could suggest a buck boost converter of the following characteristics: Input voltage range : 2.5V to 12V is the same for all the output requirements: It has to work either with solar array (8.8V to 10V) or with single lithium ion battery (3.0 Vto 4.2 V). During sunlit Solar array will be the source. In eclipse battery will be the source. Continuous current rating :output current 2.5A for +5 and + 3.3V and 0.25A at -5V Outputs : 3.3V, +5V and -5V. If a single converter is non existant, I can use three individual converters with programmable output voltage. Are the devices space qualified? Due to minimum order value and minimum order quantity we would like to use one type of device for all converter requirements. Can a MPPT converter be used with lithium ion battery source? If the answer is yes I can use 4 of the buck boost MPPTs to meet all my requirements. Whether TI has a solution for my requirement?
