Hi everyone,
* I have a basic question, regarding the programming of the SM470R1B1M-HT. I want to test the I/O pins with a simple routine in c.
* The JTAG interface is connected as shown in the schematic of the HEATEVM Board and accordingly IAR Kickstart Kit.
* I only have a XDS100v2 Emulator and the Code Composer Studio v5.2, but I can't choose the device in a new project, so I think the CCS and Emulator not supporting the SM470R1B1M-HT MCU with an ARM7 core.
* So my question is, what for Software & Development Tools I need to programm and debug the SM470R1B1M-HT MCU over the JTAG interface ?
* Did I need the IAR Workbench ?
* Can I choose a related device and where I can get the header files for including, or have you a simple programm example for the SM470R1B1M-HT MCU ?
Many Thanks...
Best regards
Andy
Andy, the most supported path is using the IAR workbench. It will have some examples and code available.
It should be possible to use an other emulators with CCS4+. However, I do not know if the low cost XDS100s will work.
For CCS4+, it will be necessary to create the target configuration manually and verify that the emulator/cpu configuration is correct.

Wade
Dear Wade,
By “It should be possible to use an other emulators with CCS4+” ,What emulator is your suggestion?
Thanks.
Nestor, sorry for the delay, I have been out on travel.
I am really only familiar with XDS510 and Blackhawk XDS560m.
Presumably others are viable as well, but can not be certain of the low cost versions.
