Miniaturized Pulse Oximeter Reference Design

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AFE4403

Hello,

i found the documents of the "Miniaturized Pulse Oximeter Reference Design" with the AFE4403, which is very interesting for me.

Can I buy the assembled PCB of this Reference Design? Where?

Best Regards

 Klaus

  • Hello Klaus,

Unfortunately the reference design is not available for sale. The design has been tested and validated for performance. We have provided the design files (link below) to accelerate your system design.

  • Hello Praveen,

thank you for your fast reply!

O.k., so I will use the design files to order some PCBs from my local supplier.

  • Hello Praveen,

TI's reference designs are of tremendous help to speed up designs, but I rarely find the component libraries accompanying the schematics and PCB files, which could be very helpful.

I know the CAD files of TI components can be downloaded are universally usable through ultra librarian, but some other components are not, typically for the miniaturized pulse oximeter, I fail to find the SFH7050 components anywhere on the web, even on Osram website, and even though it is possible to create a component in Altium, it would be a big time saver if we could access the component libraries TI engineers used for their reference designs.

Is there anywhere I can find these ?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Merouane

  • Hello Merouane,

We did not provide the component libraries mainly due to the fact that it is very easy 2-click process to create Schematic and PCB library out of any design in Altium.

Open any Schematic page (in multi-page design) and click on 'Design' and then 'Make Schematic Library' (Shortcut key: dm) to create the symbols of all the components in the design.

Similarly open the PCB document and click on 'Design' and then 'Make PCB Library' (Shortcut key: dp) to create the footprints of all the components in the design.
  • Thank you very much Praveen, that's a fast and helpful answer ! It's exactly what I needed to know, it's indeed very easy and simple :)

    Best regards,

    Merouane
