As I understand, if I were to write 7999 to PRPCOUNT, I should get a sampling rate of 500Hz (T=2ms). When I examine the ADC_RDY signal using an oscilloscope though, I get more like 768Hz (T=1.302ms).
I also tried writing (2 x 7999), (3 x 7999), and (4 x7999) to PRPCOUNT, I got sampling frequencies of 746, 505, and 373Hz (sampling periods of 1.340, 1.980, and 2.681 ms).
Any idea what might be causing this discrepancy? I did verify that the CLKOUT pin does generate a 4MHz signal.
