Dear All,

Please note that Page 10 of the data sheet of AFE 4490 refers to a 50 and 60 Hz CMRR which should effectively snuff out the power line noise.

Why is that we need to incorporate a Sofware based 50 Hz and 60 Hz Notch filter after getting the ADC figures, as it seems is evdient on the Labview GUI.

I am working on AFE 4490 EVM. Your guidance will be appreciated.

Soumya,

It is not necessary to incorporate the notch filter. You have the option to set the filter type to none in the ADC Capture and Analysis tab.

I have another question. Sorry if you find it stupid. Please tell me in the GUI there is no way, I can make the DC levels of IR and Red equal because, there is no provision for calculating the DC level of IR and Red Signal and then using that to calibrate the TIA gain or the LED Driver current to make the DC levels equal. Without that it is impossible for anybody to normalize the AC/DC ratios of Red and IR.

I have read Praveen Aroul's Clibration routine and found that through the GUI I cannot automate the DC level equalization.

Please help.

That is correct you cannot automate the DC level equalization
