Error 7000 occurs after starting of AFE4404 EVM

I installed the AFE4404 EVM GUI, connected the device and installed the USB driver on a 64-bit Windows 7 system without any errors.  However, starting the GUI always throws an error message: Scan string error... and finally: Error 7000 occurred at device GUI.Ivlib:Synchronization.vi...  Only taskmanager can now kill the app.

Any help is appreciated.
