Hello all,

I have been developing a product based on the SM470R1B1M-HT processor. I am however confused as to what precise compiler I should use to build the code. 

I can see there's a definite push towards IAR however neither Keil nor IAR seem to specifically list the processor. Please can you advise. 

I had mistakenly spotted TMS470R1B1M in the Keil list but I am not convinced this is an equivalent device any longer. Please can you advise.

    Andrew,

    The primary IDE is IAR.  IAR has configuration and examples to get device operational.

    The other compilers can be used, but the burden of setup and configuration are higher and there is limited TI support to help with this.

    The TMS470R1B1M is the same processor as the SM470R1B1M.

    Morning,

    That's excellent news, thanks for the clarification. 

    In that case, what is the specifically supported flash programming tool for that set up as I am traditionally a Keil user on ARM platforms.
