TFP410-EP: Hot plug detection of TFP410 and pin tolerance of TFP401

Hi

We have questions of TFP410-EP and TFP401.

1.
TFP410-EP has HTPLG pin.
If HTPLG is logic high, what is output?
Also, how about when HTPLG is low?

2.
The following is about TFP401 pin tolerance.
When is the TFP 401 powered off, would it be tolerant for appling voltage at RX pins?

BestRegards

  • Hi

I appreciate if I can hear from you.

  • The state of the device pin HTPLG (with i2c enabled) should mimic same state logic levels as register bit HTPLG.
This should mimic the state of the hot plug from the monitor.
Ideally the TFP401 question should be in its own post since it is different device.
    However, I can answer here.
The absolute max section of TFP401 datasheet indicates Vi (input voltage range) to be -0.3 to 4v. This is independent of power supply, so it can tolerate signals when powered off.
    Regards,
