I have a customer that is currently using the UC3909DW in their design but the device has been reported to be no longer available.
They are looking at using the UC2909-MDWREP and have a few questions that I was hoping you could answer:
1- Is the UC2909-MDWREP pin and functionally compatible with the UC3909DW? We have purchased a few samples to confirm that it is.
2- Will we be able to purchase small production quantities (100-300 annually) of the UC2909-MDWREP from the 'TI Store'?
3- How long is the UC2909-MDWREP expected to be an ‘Active’ product at TI?
4- Why is it unavailable from any listed distributer but available only from the ‘TI Store’? The listed distributor Digikey, for example, shows zero inventory and a minimum order of 2000 pieces with a 6 week lead time.
