hi.

i am using UC1846 for a DC-DC Converter application,

Where RT pin of the ic is fixed to 11.2kohm and capacitor to CT 1nF.and i am getting a oscillator frequency 190kHz.

and a same is repeated in one more uc1846, and geeting a oscillator frequency 184kHz.

so what is the tolerance of the IC.

can anyone provide me a solution to get the repeatability from one IC to another.

Hi Sudeep

As highlighted in the datasheet pg. 7 under oscillator section initial accuracy can be +/- 9.3%. Note you will also have to take into consideration tolerance of resistor used at RT and tolerance of capacitor at CT pin .

is my understanding is correct?

if that IC is used for generating 197khz oscillator frequency. and one more part will produce a frequency of 179kHz or 214Khz which is a huge variation.

yes that is correct under worse case conditions depending upon the lot and variation over process, temperature etc.
