TMS470R1B1M: TMS470R1B1M

Part Number: TMS470R1B1M
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SEGGER,

Hi,

I have an issue where the target does not come up after power up. The TRST line on controller is pulled low with 10K ohms (as per controller datasheet). So this line is low. The target starts to work as soon as a 3.3 V is applied on TRST line. We use a Segger JLink for programming and debugging. According to JLink manual TRST line should be pulled high to 3.3 V - this contradicts with the user-manual for the controller (TMS470R1B1M). Could you verify if TRST line should be pulled high or low?

  • When no scan controller is connected nTRST should be low. When a scan controller is connected, it should be high (or controlled by the scan controller). The TI scan controllers actively drive nTRST high. The Segger JLink seems to require the pullup. If using the Segger JLink, you will need to pull nTRST high.
