SN54ALS244C-SP: SN54ALS244C-SP package size and radiation test information

Part Number: SN54ALS244C-SP

Hello TI Support Staff:

I stumbled onto the component shown in the link below.

http://www.ti.com/product/SN54ALS244C-SP/description

When I click on the links for the datasheets it appears that the package size information given is for the COTS version of this part.  Would you be able to let me know what the various package sizes are for this component?

In addition, where can I find a radiation test report for this part?

-James

  • James,
I do not see the size of the package in the link you provided above.

However, the correct package size information gets appended to every datasheet. If you open the datasheet, very near the end is package outline drawings and information.

Our devices with radiation data and reports are available here.
    www.ti.com/.../space.html

Note, we only have a three logic devices that are radiation improved. Most of the standard logic devices are fairly weak for TID (~10Krad).

  • Hi Wade,

The original link I provided had another link for the mil spec version of the part:

    landandmaritimeapps.dla.mil/.../86839.pdf

This did not have the package dimensions either. The TI spec in the original link appears to be for the non -SP version of the part. I still need an answer to this question.

In addition, the www.ti.com/.../space.html link that you attached does not appear to work. Can you resend it?

    -James
  • James, I apologize. I am not following where you are seeing the erroneous information.
The SMD will have outline letters assigned for the package type. These will represent the correct dimensions.
For example, the R package shows GDIP1-T20 or GDIP2-T20. These are defined in MIL-STD-1835

For the TI documentation, you can click download for the TI datasheet. The package outlines are near the end.

As far as the wrong commercial plastic package data. I do not know where you are seeing this. Can you post more descriptive actions to get to the wrong data?

Here is the correct link for the radiation data:

    www.ti.com/.../space.html

  • Hi Wade,

I checked out the radiation data link that you sent and I did not see SN54ALS244C-SP listed. Am I missing something?

    -James
  • Yes, in my first response.

Note, we only have a three logic devices that are radiation improved.  Most of the standard logic devices are fairly weak for TID (~10Krad).

Older devices were released without radiation data.  All class V devices released within the last 5 -10years or so years will have data.

There may be third party data with either NASA or IEEE.  However, I was not able to locate it.

    Regards,

    Wade
