I'm trying to setup the DRV8412-C2-KIT in its default configuration. After setting up the hardware and installing controlSUITE, I go to fire up the GUI. I am able to connect but nothing seems to happen. On the GUI, none of the LEDs are active and nothing actually seems to be working. Any debugging advice would be appreciated and I seem to be missing something.

OS: Windows XP

Program: controlSUITE - fully updated

Device Manager shows TI XDS100 Channel A and TI XDS100 working properly. Port is COM9 and working properly.

Control Card: CC2803X ISO DIMM Rev 1.3. Proper power LEDs enabled and red LED blinking to show code is running.

Board: DRV8412EVM. All power LEDs properly working.

GUI: DRV8412GUIv7

The GUI seems to be able to connect but nothing is really happening which leads me to think it is a connection problem more than anything. Any help would be appreciated.

**UPDATE:*** Downloaded and installed the DBGJTAG GUI. Was having connection problems with JTAG. Toggled SW3 and JTAG connection works at lowest level. Fault status LED is now working (green) however no other one is working Control Card is not outputting a signal.

    Hi Tyler,

the same thing happened to me, and after I reflashed the controlCARD with the *.out file, (! *.out file normaly has the same name as the GUI you use!) everything was all right.

Hope your problem could be solved in this way.

    Regards,

    Long

Thanks Long. I flashed it to the v2 GUI and it works now.

Long is exactly right.  The GUI version has to be matched with the correct .out or the GUI will function improperly or not at all.

    Hi Ryan,

I think it should be written in quick start guide or somewhere else, to point out, that the *.out might need to be reflashed with the right version.

As it happened, I did not or could not have a thought about the unmatched version *.out. It took me really a while to find it out, if you remember I posted the same question about this.

Lucky, I always get problem solved in this forum!
