InstaSpin and Linear motor

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CONTROLSUITE, MOTORWARE

Hello,

I would like start getting further informtation about InstaSPIN FOC and InstaSPIN MOTION to develop a motor control for a linear motor (LSM) with 3 Linear Hall as feedback. The application will focus on low speed and position control. The motor power inquiry is 100W to 200W, drived at 24V as typical voltage.

I would like to know the tools, evaluation boards, libraries and so on... to start using this kind of motor.

Thank you!!

Best regards,

daniel

  • Hi Daniel

You will get things together in controlSUITE and Motorware. Not sure if there is existing Linear motor projects examples but it should be helpful to study InstaSPIN first with rotary motor. It is not a VCM (voice coil) linear motor, right? then the linear motor can be treat as the expand of the rotary motor.

Also you will get help from InstaSPIN expert on C2000 forum.

  • Hi Wilson,

Yes, sure! Before moving linear motor I can check tools and evaluation boards with a standard rotatory motor. I would like to know if I can export principal functions for rotatory to linear, knowing its difference, like transforms Clark-Park, PID functions, PWM controllers and timers, etc... and how customizable is InstaSPIN and its modules.

Off course, if anyboby checked before with linear motor would be great!!

Voice Coil Motors are linear actuators... something like a solenoid controlling its postion. Linear motor I mentioned is a linear motor itself a LSM.

I will check experts on C2000 forum.

    Thanks for your support!!
