DRV8432 & dsPIC30F4012

Dear Sir, please answer

1) We'd like to use DRV8432  along with dsPIC30F4012 (Microchip) http://www.microchip.com/wwwproducts/Devices.aspx?dDocName=en010338                          We have 6A DC motor Maxon 148867 and we'd like to use Parallel Full Bridge Mode (fig 15). Could you be so kind as to report:  have you experience with the use of a DRV8432 with dsPIC30F4012? I need to clarify : are these chips compatible in principle for Parallel Full Bridge Mode?

2) In Parallel Full Bridge Mode (fig 15): half bridge A connected in parallel to  half bridge A; half bridge C connected in parallel to half bridge D?                                     So we have like a one bridge of high-power?

TIA

Sincerely

Vladimir Naumenkov

From the datasheet, the device appears to be compatible, as long as the VDD is 3.3V. This will allow the mcu output voltage to be compatible with the DRV8432 inputs. Beyond reading the datasheet, I have no experience with the device.

Yes that is correct. Please note section 7.4  (mode 3 description) which states that RESET_AB or RESET_CD will set the outputs as high-Z.
