i found jerks in driving stepper motor using DRV8824 at the time of direction change please suggest me how to remove it

VMA and VMB - 12 V

AVREF, BVREF - 3.3V

decay - mixed decay(tried slow/fast)

circuit is as per datasheet with recommended values for components.

am getting 3.3v at v3pout.

sleep/reset pins are connected to external 5v supply.

Hi Paresh,

In most cases, a deceleration and acceleration profile is needed when changing directions. Are you using a deceleration/acceleration profile?

What speed are you running the stepper? Many steppers experience vibrations below 200 full steps/second.

In many cases, the motor will run better using microstepping.

Also try using fast decay. This has been known to help in some conditions.

i am using microstepping of 1/16,1/32.step pulse of 300HZ,and deceleration/acceleration-60/60

if i stop the motor and again start the motor after some time motor produce jerks

Hi Paresh,

Have you tried fast decay?
Can you determine what the step pulse is when the jerks occur?
Is it possible to provide a scope capture of the current during this time?
