about DRV8848 brake

nSLEEP is logic high voltage

AIN1 is logic high voltage

AIN2 is logic low voltage

VM is 12V power

AOUT1 test result 12V

AOUT2 test result GND

The motor is normal operation

Then

I want the motor Brake

AIN1 is logic high voltage

AIN2 is logic high voltage

But then motor is Coast

Why?

  • Hi Haibo

Is there a SCH can be shown?

Could you make sure there is parallel mode missing entering. When nSLEEP goes high, the inputs must not be in HiZ input state.

When you see the coast, what 's state of nFAULT? just want to make sure there is no fault as well.

    Best regards,
  • Thank you for your answer.

I first time to ask questions, do not know how to upload SCH pic

I make sure it is not Parallel mode.

    "AIN1 AIN2 BIN1 BIN2" is drived by mcu before nSLEEP goes high;

I will chek nFAULT pin state when the motor coast the near future
