Hi Team,
Can you advise me on the questions bellows.
Q1. Referring the App note (SLVA505) TI motor driver ICs have two OCP circuits.
They are (1) a fast-acting analog current limit, and (2) A digital time started one.
The threshold of OCP can be programmed through an external DAC.
The question is, how much the peak current , does “the fast-acting analog current limit”
restrict, when the OCP is programed to 1.2A through an external DAC,?,
Q2. How much OCP validation do you need to assume, when the OCP is programmed to
1.2A through an external DAC.
Are there any dependency on Process validation, supply voltage change and temperature?
Q3 Are there any risk of a permanent damage on DRV8885, when RREF pin is driven higher
than DVDD from an external DAC.
The Datasheet insist that the absolute input range of RREF pin is -0.3 to 6V.
I concern that if the pin is driven higher than DVDD, excessive current may flow into this pin
If the source impedance of the DAC is low.
