iam using drv8301.Iam facing a little problem with buck converter that without load my buck converter output is 5V but after connecting the microcontroller the output drop to 3V.

please help

Hi Shashank,

What are the values of R1 and R2? This can cause voltage errors at light loads.

Please refer to section 8.3.3 of the TPS54160 datasheet. The TPS54160 is the buck used in the DRV8301. This information was removed in a datasheet update and will be replaced in a future update.

R1=10k and R2=51k........
can u please tell me the values of R1 and R2 for 5V output.
And arduino uno as load.

Hi Shashank,

The resistor values chosen are correct for 5V output. Please look at section 9.2.2 of the TPS54160 datasheet to confirm the inductor and output capacitor selections are correct.

If they are, please post a screen capture of the voltages before and after the inductor. Also, you can post questions regarding the regulator on the Non isolated DC/DC forum
