DRV10983EVM: DRV10983EVM about the Analog Mode issues

Part Number: DRV10983EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY

Hi Team,

The customer is using DRV10983EVM.

First, he connects the 2 pin to the 1 pin for J2

Second, he rotates R14 counterclockwise to the end.

Third, once he powers on the EVM board, the motor automatically starts to rotate. Then if the customer rotates R14 clockwise, the speed will increase.

If he removes the short hood for the J2 and  keeps the J2 floating, the speed remains the same. If he removes the short hood for the J1,  the motor will

stop first, then it will rotate in the opposite direction.

Fourth, he cannot connect the EVM board to the GUI software properly.  The computer shows some information. Please check the attachment.

Q1: How to  solve the third and the fourth issues?

Q2: How to operate the EVM board correctly?

Best Wishes,
