DRV8305-Q1: CSA programmable blanking feature

Part Number: DRV8305-Q1

Hi team,

I would like to know the purpose and the actual benefit of using CSA blanking feature.

- What is the background of why blanking feature is implemented?

- Could you give me CSA's output waveform with various blanking time?

I would like to compare CSA's input/output with various blanking time.

regards,

  • Hi Tsuji-san,

CSA blanking is optional and disabled by default. If the PWM frequency is too high, it may be necessary to leave the CSA blanking disabled.

Using the blanking time allows the amplifier to ignore current surges when the FETs are enabled or disabled. This can help with settling time.

Sorry, we do not have any CSA output waveforms showing blanking.
