DRV8871: DRV8871 abnormal behavior

Dear Sir,

Our customer would like to know DRV8871's behavior on abnormal condition.

Now we are designing in DRV8871 to cash handling machine at our customer.

 

Can we ask your comments for the following questions and any test data?

 

Q1. How does DRV8871 work when control signal inputs to the IC before it power on?

 

Q2. Are below test data available for abnormal condition?

      a) Test data for DRV8871 all pins in typical failure scenarios such as short to GND and left open.

      b) Test data for DRV8871 all pins in typical failure scenarios such as short to Neighboring Pin.

    Q1. How does DRV8871 work when control signal inputs to the IC before it power on?

    >> There will be some additional current consumed by the input pulldown resistors. This will typically be Vin/100k uA.

    Q2. Are below test data available for abnormal condition?

    a) Test data for DRV8871 all pins in typical failure scenarios such as short to GND and left open.

    b) Test data for DRV8871 all pins in typical failure scenarios such as short to Neighboring Pin.

    Hi Rick san,

    I would like to know the status of Q2 soon. 

    In addition to DRV8871, customer would like to get open - short test result for DRV8886 this time. 

    Could you please help to confirm the test data is available or not?
