We are using the DRV8701 which can output up to 10V VGS. I'm looking at limiting the gate drive VGS from the DRV8701 using a zener. Will this cause any issues with the DRV8701? Or do you have another suggestion on limiting the VGS on the DRV8701

We use a common low cost FET in many designs. The max VGS is 10V, and the DRV8701 has nominal VGS of 9.5, but max of 10.5. We need to ensure we are below the FET max VGS. This would be for both high and low side FETs.
