DRV8711: Using V5 to drive a microcontroller

Part Number: DRV8711

Dear All,

I'm a newbie of motor drivers. I want to use the DRV8711 and a microcontroller which is supplied by V5 (pin 6 of DRV8711).

The sleep pin is kept alway high by a 5V zener (not connected to the micro) but the RESET PIN (pin 9) is controlled directly by the micro.

Normally the micro keeps the reset line low (no reset) but I saw that the micro, at the startup puts the line high for 3ms.

Does the reset command interrupt also the V5 voltage? Which is the minimun time accepted from DRV8711 for resetting?

Best Regards,

Mattia
