    Hello Tony,

    This is an old device from when we acquired Unitrode, so it may take some time to find this data. Based on the Toff time in the datasheet, I calculated ~27 kHz using the information in the "Performance Considerations" section.

    If you share your voltage, current, control interface, and microstepping requirements, I can recommend one of our newer devices.

    I need to drive an inductor (~100uH) @ (~100mA)


    I need to be able to switch @ ~500kHz bipolar. Unipolar operation would be a nice option as well but is not a requirement.

    ...I am trying to test the max frequency of a Hall sensor switch, using an inductor as the magnetic source.


    The supply voltage can be anything, and the inductor and current requirements can be adjusted as long as (L*i)~10u

    Tony,

    DRV8412 and DRV8432 are the fastest switching devices in our portfolio, and they can achieve 500 kHz.

    The DRV8844 can support 200 kHz switching.
