TIDA-01243: HD3SS460 wrong connection. Please answer how it should be

Part Number: TIDA-01243
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HD3SS460

Dear support team,

I've got TIDA-01243 evaluation kit and it works OK.

I made own design with exactly the same USB-C front end and hub as it is made in TIDA-01243 design.

I found, that our design doesn't work in USB 3.0 mode and after some research it was found that original TIDA-01243 SCH (revision B, page 4) has wrong signal connection to HD3SS460 IC.

Please answer, is that a bug in SCH or it should be like that?

Pin 25 of HD3SS460 (SSTXN) connected to net SSTXP_UP, that is connected to pin USB_SSTXP_UP of USB HUB IC. So, Negative pin connected to positive.

Same thing with SSRX diff pair.

Please answer as soon as possible. We have our design, that contain 2x USB HUBs and few ports with USB-PD and with that mux, and i can't get USB 3.0 working.

Best regards,

Sergii Makovetskyi
