Hi ,

Currently using MCU, if want to input video (CVBS) IN & VIDEO (CVBS) OUT, is it necessary to connect DSP? Is there a recommended DSP?

Hi Mars Huang,

There are no many details of your project but according to diagram a DSP is recommended solution. The choice depends on specific requirements but in general OMAP-L138 or TMS320C674x seems useful choice:

Hi Cvetolin Shulev,

Since the demand is CVBS direct input and output, but OMAP-L138 or TMS320C674x also need to add a decoder,

there are other suggestions? Thank you.

Hi Tsvetolin Shulev,

If the architecture is modified to use the Video switch to switch the video input and dsp output image,

is there any other simple DSP advice? Please also help suggest Video switch ic,Thank you.

Hi Mars Huang,

The TI processors cannot input or output composite CVBS signals directly. They must first go through a decoder that can output the video signal digitally (like BT.656).

Most of the converters are not recommended for new designs (NRND): www.ti.com/.../universalsearch.tsp
