TPS65987D: FRS question

Part Number: TPS65987D
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB422, BQ25703A

Hi,

I am in the design of a new system that is powered though USB PD using the TPS65987D IC.

I would like to know if there is any way of commanding a Stop in the Power Delivery in order to shut down the system. Or shall this to be implemented in the Sink Device.

Reading the USB PD 2.0 spec I realized that maybe a Role Swap just to stop the power could be a solution (despite the sink device is not able to provide power to the TPS65987D system) but it seems to me a bit triky and guessing that USB PD won't allow this (or at least is not designed to work in this way).

Any help or idea of how to command a stop in the power delivery will be welocomed.

Best Regards,

Juanjo
