KEIL CAN'T FIND MY M3!!

I design and make a board using CM3.But when I power the board first time, I can't download the code to the MCU.

The IDE is Keil uVision4,and it says ,"could not initialize the target device. please power cycle the board and try again" and "flash download failed target DLL cancelled".

I test the vcc, it is 3.3v right. What's the problem? Is it wrong with the Crystal , the MCU , the configuration of the keil, or others?

PS:  I USE LM3S6950 in the design, and the circuit refer to the TI evaluate kit board.

  • You appear to have a JTAG communication failure.  This could be caused by many things.  Here are a few to look at.

    • You checked 3.3V… Is it properly applied to all VDD, VDDA and VCCPHY pins
    • Is the VDD25 properly connected to the LDO pin
    • Do you have proper 1uF-3uF capacitance on the LDO
    • Do you have a pull up on PB7/TRST
    • Make sure you did not swap TDI and TDO
    • Are both CMOD0 and CMOD1 grounded
    • What crystal are you using
    • Compare the keil configuration of your project with one of the example projects for the evaluation kit.
    • Is this behavior consistent on more then one board

Thanks! I forgot to pull up on PB7/TRSTn !  The problem is solved.

Am facing same problem with TM4C1294gxl.
Initially the program was running correctly but after few other debugging sessions this error appeared.

I am new to this board and just programmed it with blinky program using gpio port pn0 and pn1

If you mean you, "repurposed" PC0 & PC1 you disabled your JTAG connection!

    If PN0 & PN1 you're safe from the above - yet then there's no easy answer w/data you've supplied...

Problem solved! Unlocked using LM Flash programmer !
