Project Description

The penetration of the Wind Energy Conversion Systems (WECS) is connected to the advancement of power electronics, which has permitted the development of efficient and low cost WECS in the last decades. A WECS configuration that has great attention is based on a doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) and a back to back (B2B) converter, the back to back converter is constituted by a Rotor Side Converter (RSC) and a Grid Side Converter (GSC).

The GSC control is based in the dq reference frame model. This model gives the necessary equations to implement the control which is implemented in a TI TMS320F28335 DSP.
