RTOS: raw ethernet frames with ptp clock timestamping in QNX RTOS

Hii,

How can I transceive raw ethernet farmes with ptp clock timestamp in layer 2. Sockaddr_ll structure is not available in QNX RTOS. Is there any other solution for transceiving raw ethernet frames ( destination address(MAC) + source address(MAC) + payload) with hardware timestamps.

Referencing the e2e thread located here, does referencing file ptp.c and devctl.c, available in the J6 BSP, at qnx.com address the question?

Hi Kumar,

CPTS, Common Platform Time Sync is a H/W module that facilitates host control of time sync operations. For further information on CPTS please reference the Technical Reference Manual (TRM) of the device under test.

Support of the CPTS H/W module is included in the QNX BSPs.

For information on BPF on QNX, please reference http://www.qnx.com/developers/docs/660/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.qnx.doc.core_networking%2Ftopic%2Ffiltering_BPF.html

To enable BPF functionality, the devnp-* shared library in the QNX BSP must be rebuilt with the NBPFILTER compile flag defined to be greater than 0.

Hii,

I am new to CPTS. Which clock I have to select as reference clock for CPTS and what value I have to give to CLKSEL_RFT in CM_GMAC_GMAC_CLK_CTRL register to get timestamp for Ethernet frames to implement PTP (Precision Time Protocol)
