Hi everybody,

I m using Android and need a lot of audio/video capabilities in my system .

I need for example : decoding MPEG-4 AAC Profile (AAC LC) , MPEG-4 HE AAC Profile (AAC+) etc also images like Jpeg etc

where can I find complete list of supported standard in the SDK ?

is there any document on licensing model ?

The application notes for the SDK release includes information on the supported media formats. Please check here:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../6AO.1.1_Application_Notes

Release notes for the SDK you are using will also provide information on video and audio, for example:
processors.wiki.ti.com/.../6AO.1.1_Release_Notes

thank you fro the precious info but please what about licensing model ?
is there any doc I can refer to ?
are there som royalties for some std to be paid ?
any suggestion /indication is very welcome

Hi Carlo,
AFAIK, TI will charge a one time NRE fee for the implementation of those codecs in HW and the full codec support. Those should be discussed with TI CPM (Customer Program Manager). For the licensing/royalty issue on those codecs need to be covered by customer to determine as such. TI does not cover the IP royalty obligations. TI provided the codec libraries but it is up to customers who use it to be responsible in paying the royalty properly.
