Part Number: TDA3
Hi,
I would like to know what DCAN stand for. I know that CAN is "Controller Area Network". What's D?

Hi Kenshow,
Additionally to what Ewald answered - 'D' comes from Dual-clock. An IP feature that has no need to advertise in TI SoC's since most of modules are already dual-clock (or more) there.
Thus we leave DCAN and MCAN just to differentiate the both IPs.

kenshow ,
Yes, it's the CAN version D which support bit rates up to 1 Mbit/s. For TDA3x you have 2 DCANs in SR1.0 and 1 DCAN and 1 MCAN (up to 5 Mbit/s data rate) in SR2.0.
Thanks
Alex
