TDA2x EVM's vision app board can capture HDMI 720p@30Hz input ?

Hello,

I need to capture HDMI 720p@30hz input with TDA2x EVM. User guide has only guide for 1080p@60hz.

Please let me know how to do it.

Hi Wilson,

Vision SDK changes for resolution is very simple, we just need to change the resolution in the capture output and it should work.

But more important changes is decoder settings. The default settings are for the 1080p resolution. Please get the settings for 720p for ADV or Sil and it should work with these settings.

We may require to change EDID, but lets first get the 720p settings.

Could you guide how to get EDID setting? My EVM has ADI HDMI receiver chip. I don't have any idea how to get EDID table from ADI.

Hi Wilson,

ADV has support for internal EDID Ram, which can be programmed through i2c.

Unfortunately, we have EDID configuration only for 1080p resolution. For 720p resolution, you need to contact ADI.

My HDMI camera is supporting 1080@60 fortunately. So I'm using capturing link for reducing size & fps.

Hi Wilson,
Yes, you could downscale input from 1080p to 720 in the capture link. or you could even crop the resolution to 720p.
