TDA2HV: TDA2x SOC

Hi,

I am using TDA2x CPU for one of my project and want to keep booting configuration like these:

First Priority QSPI (4-Bit) then SD Card and then USB

For these booting options please let me know about boot configuration Pins state for SYSBOOT[5:4] and SYSBOOT[3:0].
As per booting pin configuration of user manual ( Refer Document "SPRUI29D" Page 7533) there is no option for first QSPI then SD Card and then USB, So please confirm about this configuration.

Hi Priyanka,

You can set the SYSBOOT[5:0] as 0b100111 to get the above mentioned boot configuration.

Thanks for the response.

Can you please suggest which document you are following for this configuration. In the user manual i am not able to get this configuration. Please suggest if you are referring any other document.

Can you check "Table 29-9. Booting Devices Order" in the TRM? That's where this information comes from.

If i can see as per table 29-9, sysboot[5:4] is 0b10 and there is only one option that is XIP. What is the meaning of XIP here? Please explain more because i am not getting the priority order as per your suggested configuration.

Hi,

What is the document you are referring to? I referred to DRA75x_DRA74x_SR2.0_SR1.x_NDA_TRM_vAE.pdf to answer your question.
XIP means Execute In Place. This mode is used for NOR boot.

Hi,

Please note that not all boot modes are currently present in TDA2x TRM. That was the decision in the past, but now we are going to 'unhide' them. You can use DRA75x TRM until new TDA2x version is released.
